Welcome to 23 new AIAS fellows

On 1 October 2017, the first 15 fellows of a cohort of 23 selected researchers will commence their fellowship at AIAS.

The group of AIAS Former Fellows (‘Alumni’) has now exceeded the number of current Fellows as AIAS will say goodbye to a large group of fellows. A cohort of 23 new fellows has now been selected in a long international triple peer review process in the spring-summer of 2017.

On 1 October 2017 AIAS welcomes the first 15 fellows of this cohort; the last 8 on 1 February 2018. The cohort of new fellows come from 18 different research institutions from around the world, are of 12 different nationalities and come from research areas within health, natural sciences, arts as well as social sciences.

The new fellows will bring projects to AIAS that span from research into Parkinson’s disease; over the writing of a conceptual history of everyday talk; to looking at nutrients recovery and bioremediation of polluted waters in treatment wetlands, and many, many more.

Novel projects, AIAS diversity and AU collaboration

While at AIAS, the new AIAS fellows will have the time to concentrate on and develop their individual research projects, but the infrastructure of AIAS also strongly supports collaboration and networking with Aarhus University faculty members and the research environments at AU and between the new, ‘old’ and ‘former’ AIAS fellows.
