The first call in the AIAS-RJ Fellowship Programme is now closed. The next call is expected to open in September 2025 with an application deadline in November 2025.
Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies (AIAS) is pleased to announce an exclusive fellowship opportunity for a researcher who holds a position at a Swedish research institution. The fellowship is made possible through a collaboration with Riksbankens Jubileumsfond. The purpose of the AIAS-RJ fellowship is to strengthen the ties and expand the collaboration between the Swedish and Danish research communities.
One fellowship is available for 12 months from 1 September 2025 to 31 August 2026. Two more calls for fellowships are expected in 2026-2027 and 2027-2028.

The AIAS-RJ fellowship gives the selected fellow the opportunity to concentrate on their own research interests while also being an active member of the AIAS research community and participating in and contributing to seminars and activities beyond their own field of expertise. The fellow must be eager to engage in the interdisciplinary community at AIAS and expand research collaborations with colleagues at Aarhus University.

With a location within the unique campus of Aarhus University, AIAS functions as an interdisciplinary platform that connects researchers across Aarhus University and international scholars. AIAS has fellows who work in thematic groups or in individual fellowships, and hosts events and activities, which AIAS-RJ fellows are welcome to join and contribute to.

The AIAS-RJ Fellow will have office space at AIAS and can participate in academic training activities, conferences and workshops at AIAS. They will also be affiliated with the relevant research environments at Aarhus University.
