Two cross-faculties collaborative theme groups selected to AIAS

Following a successful year with four active cross-faculties 3-2-1-Go! Collaborative Theme Groups, the Interdisciplinary Taskforce at Aarhus University and AIAS have selected two new groups who will join AIAS for the next two years.

The aim of the 3-2-1-Go! Collaborative Theme Groups is to bring researchers together across at least two faculties, three departments or centers at Aarhus University to foster novel ideas and research collaborations around one shared theme.

This vision has been fully realized in an active first year with the four current 3-2-1 theme groups who have already attracted further funding, are co-authoring journal papers and organizing interdisciplinary workshops, and exchanging ideas, perspectives and research questions across disciplines.

Now, two more collaborative theme groups have been selected and will join AIAS to study biocultural perspectives on what makes us human and how humans impact the environment in the ‘Tracks and Footprints’ group, whereas the ‘When Politics Meets Business’ group will apply an interdisciplinary approach to help business leaders tackle geopolitical risk.

From August 2025 to August 2027, the following two theme groups will be hosted at AIAS:

The groups will have group office facilities at AIAS available for their meetings and are provided with a website and offered administrative support.
