The Dale T. Mortensen (DTM) Fellowships were open for application from outstanding researchers from outside of Aarhus University, who intended to explore innovative, high-risk topics within their scientific research areas.
A Dale T. Mortensen Fellowship was available for a period of six months up to three years. The fellowships began with a long residential stay in Aarhus for at least three months, followed by long or short periods of residence, so that a total nine months were spent at Aarhus University.
The aim of the DTM fellowship was to nourish a lasting and productive collaborative connection.
Dale T. Mortensen Senior Fellows were supported with a salary and financial support for their research project: for travel costs, organization of workshops, materials etc.
Dale T. Mortensen (1939 - 2014)
The DTM Fellowship programme was named after Professor Dale T. Mortensen (1939 - 2014) from Northwestern University, US. From 2006 to 2010, Dale T. Mortensen was a Visiting Professor at the Department of Economics at Aarhus University. In 2010 while visiting Aarhus University, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics for his analysis of markets with search frictions.
