AIAS FORMER FELLOW

Professor, Department of Management, Aarhus University, Denmark

During his AIAS-PIREAU fellowship, Panagiotis Mitkidis worked on the project 'The Stigma and Perceived Discrimination Associated with Multiple Sclerosis'

Project description

This research explores the impact of stigma on individuals with MS and caregivers, examining its links to well-being and employment. A review maps stigmatization's effects on well-being and labor outcomes, while a big-team study seeks effective strategies to mitigate ignorance and prejudice. Findings will inform policy actions and tools to reduce stigma, improving lives and job opportunities. Embracing open science, the project advocates for transparency in addressing these critical issues. Intersecting behavioral sciences, this project aligns with existing research initiatives.
