Professor, Department of Anthropology, Aarhus University, Denmark
During his AIAS-PIREAU fellowship, Jens Seeberg will be working on the project:
'Work environment, mobility and biosocial vulnerability'
Changing ecologies linked to climate change as well as expansion of capitalist frontiers impact on migration patterns for both human and non-human life and create new niches for zoonoses and infectious diseases. Building on ongoing research on work environments in Denmark as well as South Asia, this project will engage with the interdisciplinary milieu of PIREAU and AIAS to develop new understandings and analytical approaches to theorizing biosocial vulnerabilities with a special focus on the risk of infectious disease and antimicrobial resistance among migrant workers.
