The fourth call for AIAS-COFUND fellowships is now closed

AIAS has received 161 applications from researchers from all over the world in the last and fourth call for AIAS-COFUND fellowships. Applicants will receive answers in June 2017 after an extensive triple peer-review and selection process.

The 161 applications show a call with a successful global reach as the cohort contains 34 different nationalities; with 13 Americans as the largest group. Applicants come from all four main academic faculties and show a great diversity in research areas; with 65 applications from the area of Science & Technology as the main area of research. With 37 senior researchers and 124 junior researchers, the cohort shows potentials for a dynamic constellation across seniority.

Top-level, triple peer review

How the final group of selected fellows will be composed is only to be revealed after a long, external triple and international peer-review process with excellence as the sole criterion for selection. This comprehensive process will last until late June, when the applicants will receive answers, and the selected fellows will commence at AIAS in two groups; either on 1 October 2017 or 1 February 2018.

34 fellows at one time

AIAS is able to host 34 fellows at one time, and are currently full house. Fellows at AIAS come from a broad spectrum of disciplines, and are offered unique research conditions for a period from one up to three years, free from other obligations than exactly their core activity: research. Many new fellows have already established research collaborations with Departments at Aarhus University prior to their arrival at AIAS, and besides this collaboration, fellows will be situated in a thriving, multidisciplinary and international environment at AIAS.
