Nikolaj Zinner has been a part of the AIAS staff since 1 January 2019 as deputy director. A period that has offered new challenges and tasks for AIAS with the appointment of a new executive director, and subsequently the development of a new strategy. These tasks have now been completed, and therefore Nikolaj will be returning to his research at the Department of Physics and Astronomy from April.

“I have been incredibly happy during my time at AIAS. The role as deputy director has been a quite different challenge than my other activities, and it has been an enormously insightful process and a pleasure to be a part of the team. It is a unique research environment that exists at AIAS with exciting researchers from all sorts of research fields. This creates a special dynamic, which I will miss in my everyday life,” said Nikolaj Zinner.

The position of deputy director at AIAS will be advertised shortly. In the transition period, until a new deputy director has been found, Nikolaj Zinner will continue assisting the director and staff at AIAS.

“Nikolaj has contributed with a phenomenal effort at AIAS, both practically but also as a culture bearer for the institute. Everyone at AIAS owes Nikolaj a lot of gratitude for his effort,” said Søren Rud Keiding, executive director at AIAS.
