This year AIAS is hosting an interdisciplinary panel debate on health and inequality in a digital society, 'A healthy life in a digital society?/ Et sundt liv i et digitaliseret samfund?' at Folkemødet, an annual democracy festival held at the Danish island of Bornholm.
If you are at Folkemødet, you can find AIAS on deck of Aarhus University's research ship Aurora in Allinge habour, on Friday 13 June at 18:00. We hope you will join the cross-disciplinary discussion on how digital solutions affect our health, and whether social inequality in health is an inevitable condition or a societal choice. The debate will be held in Danish.

Et sundt liv i et digitaliseret samfund?
Hvordan påvirker digitale løsninger vores sundhed, og er social ulighed i sundhed et uundgåeligt vilkår eller et samfundsmæssigt valg?
Danmark er førende inden for digitalisering, også i sundhedssektoren, men ikke alle borgere har lige forudsætninger for at få gavn af de digitale løsninger. Udsatte grupper møder ofte barrierer i takt med at forebyggelse og omsorgspraksisser ændrer sig – og her kan faktorer som social status, alder og køn have afgørende betydning. Kan teknologi skabe mere lighed, eller risikerer vi at forstærke uligheden? Deltag i en tværfaglig og involverende paneldebat, hvor forskerne diskuterer, hvordan vi sikrer, at digitaliseringen gavner alle.

Folkemødet is an annual democracy festival that seeks to diminish distance and enhance trust between citizens and decision-makers. At ‘Folkemødet’ citizens, decision-makers, universities and hundreds of organizations gather for three days on the Danish island of Bornholm to participate in democratic debates about our joint society to strengthen the Danish democracy.
