AIAS Summer Gathering 2021

Date: 26 August 2021

AIAS invites all current, former and associate fellows and staff to spend an inspiring afternoon and evening together.

This year the theme will be “The good life and the critical dialogue - the good, the bad, and the ugly!”

The speaking fellows, a former, a current and an associate fellow, will in their short talks reflect on the concept of dialogue within their own field of research, the biological, the classical and the molecular. From the dialogues of Plato, via the dialogue of Bohr and Einstein to the sculpture behind AIAS illustrating the critical dialogue between Ars, Justicia, and Scientia, our ability to disagree through critical dialogue has always been the cornerstone in advanced studies.

The Summer Gathering thus constitutes a welcomed opportunity to retrain our critical dialogue after more than a year of dialogue-less ZOOM meetings.
