Zines are self-produced, handmade booklets about a topic of interest. Historically, they have been particularly important for activists, feminists, and punks. But anyone can make a zine! In this practical workshop, we will talk about zines as a creative outlet for research dissemination. We will explore when and how zines might be a good idea for academics and look at some examples, both print and digital. Then we will spend most of the workshop making our own zines. No artistic skills are required, just bring an idea for a topic you would want to write a zine about. More detailed instructions and resources will be shared with registered participants before the workshop.
Registration
The workshop is open to all interested. You can register for the workshop here.
