Through sharp satire and dark humor, this series explores layered Mexican realities: the everyday mechanics of power, the interplay of media and politics, class and regional divides, and how people navigate scarcity, corruption, and crime. Directed by Luis Estrada, whose films openly critique Mexico’s political system and its controversies, the series aims to spark discussion about social complexity and human relations.

Experience the third of Luis Estrada’s three cinematic works: ¡Que viva México! (2023)

Pancho Reyes, a middle-class family man, is called back to his mining hometown for the reading of his grandfather’s will. Hoping for an inheritance, he confronts the family he left behind and a cascade of rivalries that upend his assumptions about class, loyalty, and opportunity.

Post-screening discussion and refreshments will conclude the evening.
