Final week to register for Metric Culture
On 4 May it is the last day to sign up for the large international June 2017 AIAS Conference Metric Culture: The Quantified Self and Beyond.
AIAS Fellow and Associate Prof. of King’s College London Btihaj Ajana is organizer of the conference Metric Culture: The Quantified Self and Beyond that will take place on 7-9 June 2017. The multidisciplinary conference will feature 21 panels and bring together more than 60 speakers, both international and Aarhus University speakers from all four faculties.
By bringing together relevant scholars at the conference who are engaged in the study of the social, political, cultural and ethical dimensions of self-tracking practices and related technologies, the conference aims to provide critical insights and nuanced reflections on the way metric culture is unfolding within and affecting the various spheres of our lives, and how it is reshaping our relation to our bodies, vitalities and surroundings.
On Thursday 4 May it is the final chance to register for the conference.
