The Interrelationship Between Art and Research

Both artistic and academic practices are driven by a shared pursuit of the unknown and the unexplored, harnessing creativity and imagination to challenge and expand the boundaries of the known. This endeavor is not necessarily aimed at uncovering definitive answers, but rather at advancing our understanding, fostering intellectual growth, and enriching our perspectives, however incrementally, in relation to what we knew before.

Program

To begin the tour, Astrid Marie Hvorslev Nørholt will offer an introduction to Ny Carlbergfondet, showcasing a selection of artworks from the collection currently on display at AIAS. She will provide an in-depth exploration of the featured artists, offer nuanced interpretations of their works, and contextualize them within broader art historical frameworks. The tour starts at 15:00 in the Hall at AIAS. The tour will last approximately until 16:00, after which refreshments will be served in the lounge.

Registration is not required.
