Abstract

This workshop zooms in on the interconnections between ideology and form. It assumes that since form is an important medium of meaning, formal considerations and ideological purposes intertwine in narrative arrangements. The workshop investigates manifestations of this interface in different Anglophone traditions (such as Jamaican literature, British plays, American films, and Indian-English novels).
