Labor Market Inequality and Workplace AI

Date: 20. & 21. of May 2025

Venue: AIAS, Aarhus University, Building 1632 & 1630
Høegh-Guldbergs Gade 6B, 8000, Aarhus C

Abstract

This interdisciplinary workshop brings together researchers from economics, political science, and management to explore how artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping the workplace and contributing to emerging patterns of inequality. As AI technologies transform firm organization, labor markets, and political landscapes, understanding their broader societal consequences becomes increasingly critical.

The workshop features keynote lectures by leading scholars, presentations of new empirical research based on Danish and international data, and a roundtable discussion with stakeholders. By fostering dialogue across disciplines, the event aims to generate new insights into the opportunities and challenges that AI-driven transformations pose for workers, firms, and society.
