During his Science Diplomacy Fellowship, George Salter will be working on the project 'Technological interdependencies and value mobility in the Danish quantum computing ecosystem'
Attention is turning to the marketisation of quantum computing for a variety of policy agendas. Yet, no nation has the capacity to develop the entire quantum computing value chain themselves. This raises a fundamental question: how does the emerging shape of this innovation market dictate who gets what, when, where, and how is this reflected in the development and financing of this technology in the global political economy? Studying the Danish case can help shape the development of science diplomacy initiatives required for European success.
