During his Science Diplomacy (SD) Fellowship, Casper Andersen will be working as a group lead of the Science Diplomacy Theme Group. He will work on research projects within ‘Dual use and diplomacy in science’
My field of research is history of ideas, science, and technology in imperial and global contexts. The focus of my current research is science diplomacy, history of nuclear weapons, and the role of UNESCO in history and heritage. My recent book, co-authored with Henry Nielsen, is titled: Seconds to midnight. A history of nuclear weapons (September 2025).
