									<h3><strong>Abstract</strong></h3>
<p>The latest developments in the theoretical and computational studies of nonlinear optical properties and spectroscopies involving the concept of chirality will be reviewed. Special emphasis will be given to the phenomenon of magnetic field induced second harmonic generation (MFISHG) in chiral samples. The phenomenon, never having been explored experimentally to date, is related to special nonlinear mixed electric and magnetic frequency dependent responses, conveniently computed nowadays employing modern analytic response theory tools. We will present, on the other hand, also other nonlinear chiroptical spectroscopic properties, all proven to be amenable to ab initio simulation resorting to the tools of modern analytical response theory: magnetochiral dichroism and birefringence, excited state electronic circular dichroism, and circularly polarized phosphorescence. Recent developments in Two-Photon Circular Dichroism will also be mentioned.

</p>
<p>A theoretical chemist that got his degree in Chemistry in 1981, Antonio Rizzo is a Senior Scientist at the Istituto per i Processi Chimico-Fisici, National Research Council, unit of Pisa, which he has headed since 2011. He has been a postdoctoral in the US in the late eighties, early nineties (Texas A&amp;M &amp; IBM Kingston), and visiting scientists in several instances over the years in several countries. He collaborates with different theoretical groups across Scandinavia. He has been interested in exotic, mixed electric and magnetic linear and nonlinear molecular properties, and in recent years his focus has been on chiroptical spectroscopies.
