									<h3><strong>Abstract</strong></h3>
<p>Reproduction is an intricate act that involves complex interactions between male and female reproductive proteins. The interaction of these reproductive proteins not only ensures fertilization success but also has the potential to play a prominent role in maintaining species boundaries. The spectacular rapid divergence detected in reproductive proteins indicates that they could play a key role in the formation of new species. As an AIAS Fellow I am going to implement a multidisciplinary approach, combining proteomics, phylogenetic comparative analysis and experimental evolution to provide a more comprehensive overview of the evolutionary forces driving the rapid divergence of reproductive proteins and their role in the formation of new species.
