Prestigious position to AIAS Alumni

Professor of Anthropology and AIAS Former Fellow Rane Willerslev to head the National Museum of Denmark.

This week it was announced that Professor of Anthropology and AIAS Former Fellow Rane Willerslev will be the new Head of the National Museum of Denmark. The National Museum of Denmark is Denmark’s largest museum of cultural history, located in Copenhagen. But the museum is also a collection of museums, as parts of the museum are located all over Denmark, from Zealand and Moen, to Funen and Jutland, e.g. Kongernes Jelling – The Home of the Viking Kings in Jelling in Jutland. Professor Willerslev will commence the new position on 1 July 2017.

AIAS congratulates our alumni Rane Willerslev with his new position and is looking forward to follow his development and footprint on the museum.
