14:15: The ego in medicine: healthy self-confidence or bullying?

Healthy self-confidence has an important role in medicine, especially surgery. The ability to take decisive action in the face of complex, time-sensitive, and high-stakes procedures requires a confident disposition and belief in one's own abilities to step up and lead. But in the modern era of multidisciplinary care, where the 'main person' is less clear, this confidence should not give way to a more disruptive ego.

What is the Festival of Research?

The Festival of Research is a nationwide knowledge festival that takes place each year in the spring with about 500 events and more than 65,000 visitors around Denmark. The Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science is behind the initiative, which aims at bringing research and the Danish population closer.
