Call for applications to the EURIAS Fellowship Programme now open

For the 2017-2018 academic year The European Institutes for Advanced Study (EURIAS) Fellowship Programme offers 48 fellowships. As a EURIAS member, AIAS has two available. Application deadline is 8 June 2016.

AIAS accepted as EURIAS member institute

AIAS will receive DKK 800,000 from the EURIAS EU Cofund programme, providing four fellowships over the next two years as a result of the new membership.

Significant results in new PNAS publication by AIAS Fellow Bjørn Panyella Pedersen and colleagues

The new research reveals the mechanism behind a cancer-relevant inhibition of human sugar transporting protein. The hope is that this will guide future drug design targeting sugar uptake mechanisms. Ultimately, this will lead to progress in a number of important common conditions, such as diabetes and cancer.
